  • Once or twice a year, apply a premium, oil-based furniture polish to enhance and protect the surface. Choose a clear emulsion polish rather than wax-based products to prevent residue buildup.
  • Protect your cabinets from prolonged exposure to high heat. If you’re using a self-cleaning oven, consider removing nearby cabinet doors and drawers during the cleaning cycle.
  • For cabinets with glass panels, use non-ammonia-based cleaners. Spray the cleaner onto a cloth rather than directly onto the glass to avoid overspray on the wood.
